I was all syked up to watch Alias last night; even made sure I was finished with everything I needed to do by 7:55.
I got situated and the show began. I'm so glad they showed the Season Finale from last year. My reaction was the exact same as when I saw it then; I screamed.
At first, I was so happy that Sydney and Vaughn were okay after that horrific car wreck. As I watched it, on the end of my seat, I just didn't believe they were a couple like I did in the previous season. I know some of this is because they aren't a real life couple and Jennifer Garner is pregnant and married to Ben Affleck.
I mean, your fiance dies and I never saw her shed one tear. Also, did she look old to you? I know she is pregnant while she was shooting this; however, she just looked old.
Also, how many times are they going to use the double-agent storyline?
Anyway, I did enjoy it and am looking forward to next Thursday's show.
This is Noah, my brother's baby.
Look at those eyes. Yesterday was his 1st Birthday and his party was today. He is so cute and getting so big. The best part of a 1st Birthday is to see how the baby handles his cake. He didn't need any help whatsoever, he dug right in and enjoyed.
This is how Noah looked enjoying his 1st Birthday Cake.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NOAH!!!
love,
Aunt Bean
My team leader in my department at work invited a bunch of us "ladies" to a lingerie party. It was hosted by Petra Fashions.
Zona and I went to the party and I really wasn't sure how it would be; however, it turned out to be a lot of fun. You had to pick something for the person to the right of you to wear that you wouldn't think they would pick out for theirself. I had to pick something out for Zona and this is what I chose.
Anyway, then we had to model an outfit and I'm usually shy about those things, but we had a lot of fun and everyone modeled an outfit and noone thought twice about it.
Shane even bought me something; but I can't show what that was...lol
Let's just say it wasn't conservative.
As you know, I've been dieting for the past 3 months and have lost about 20 lbs. I still need to loose ALOT more weight; however, I have noticed that the areas that I have lost weight are becoming flabby. So, I've decided it's time to start working out.
My work offers their employees a Corporate Smart Fit Program with the YMCA. You have to agree to go workout twice a week for 1 hour. If you complete the program, they reimburse you your medical premium. I decided that was an extra incentive for me to get off my butt and work out.
I don't mind going to the "Y" by myself; but I thought I'd try to recruit a friend of mine to go with me.
My dear friend, Zona, of whom I've worked with for the past 15 years is going with me. So, next Tuesday at 6:00 pm, Zona and I will be getting measured and ready to transform our bodies into "The Next Top Model". Well, a person can dream, can't they?
I went out and bought me an iPod Shuffle so that I can listen to music while I work out. It is really a fun little gadget!!!
It states it will hold 120 songs; however, I only got 74 to fit on mine. I guess because some of the songs I listen to are longer than most songs.
Anyway, wish me luck on working out and Happy Autumn, tomorrow!!!
Shane is a HUGE Gator Fan and I am a semi-HUGE Vols Fan. As all you Football fans know this weekend is the TN-FL game. Before the game, I have to pack all my breakable things and provide Shane with a stuffed football. This is in case TN wins (unfairly) and he decides to throw something.
He is VERY serious about the Gators. To me, I really don't care who wins, as long as the game is played fair. Meaning, the referees aren't for one team or the other.
Last year, Shane got upset over a play a referee called.
This year, I'm hoping all goes well and my house is in order after TN kicks FL butt!! (hehe)
Just kidding, I'm not that into it; so I hope the Gators win for Shane.
This is what our desktop is on our computer that I just made for Shane to see when he comes in here. ;-)

Shane has been laid off since Feb. of this year. It has been a hardship on our relationship with just me working. I don't see how families do it with only 1 income and have a household and a life.
Friday, Shane got news that the company that laid him off, is needing him again. So, he started work today.
This is his schedule:
6 am to 6 pm Monday-Thursday
6 am to 3 pm Friday
6 am to 2 pm Saturday
This is ALOT of work for someone who hasn't worked in 7 months.
He came home today and has been passed out since around 7 pm. He's so tired physically. His body hurts so bad. I did give him a massage and even massaged his feet for him.
I'm so happy that he has a job!!!
I was asked at work if I wanted to volunteer for the Southern Brewer's Festival on September 10th from 6 pm-11 pm down at the Riverfront. I said, "Sure" and even volunteered my friend, Cindy.
I then informed her that she was going with me to serve beer that day and gave her the time. She was more than happy to do this as she hardly ever gets to go out with just the girls.
So, off Cindy and I go be "Beer Girls". We got downtown early enough to find a parking and walk to where we needed to go. Lucky enough, we found a parking a block from where it was set up.
There were 20 different Brewer's Booths set up. We walked down and looked at the various names of types of Beers and chose the cutest sounding one to work at.
We ended up working for Moon River Brewing from Savannah, GA. They had 2 different types of Beer. One light and one dark beer.
The light beer sold like crazy. It was called Wild Wacky Wit-Our wit (white) beer is an old style Belgian wheat-ale, spiced with Curacao bitter orange peel and coriander. Light and exotic... A party in your mouth!(1)
The dark beer wasn't as big of a hit as Wacky Wit. The dark beer was called Swamp Fox-(IPA)India Pale Ale-Like its namesake, this strong ale is known for the sneak attack. Hop-heads will enjoy its assertive bitterness and huge floral, dry hop aroma.(2)
We meet ALOT of different types of people. Some were very special(and I don't mean dear to my heart). It's amazing how some people get so drunk they actually don't know what they are doing.
Now, I'm not a beer drinker at all; so I'm sure you are wondering, why Volunteer at something you don't like. It was for a very good cause. Make-A-Wish Foundation. They help alot of children and children are something that are dear to my heart.
We have a ton of fun; however, when I got home my feet hurt soooooo bad. My one big toe still hurts. But I'm thinking about volunteering up in Knoxville come October for Octoberfest.
PS: Cindy doesn't know yet!!!

Okay, this is going to end up being a poll. Listen to the scenario carefully.
Say you and your significiant other (S.O.) were having a yard sale. There were some pictures you had put up for the yard sale. You asked your S.O. if these were for the yard sale? He/She said, "Yes". You then said, okay then, I'm going to give these to my brother/sister.
Your S.O. got extremely upset about it and said, "No, you aren't giving them to anyone. They can buy them from me." The pictures were originaly from your S.O.'s house.
I totally disagree with this. I think if you live together and something is just going to be sold for around $5 in a yard sale and the other one wants it to help out a family member; then why get mad about it.
What would you do?
Thanks and I hope this doesn't offend anyone.
Well, today, Shane and I installed my new bathroom floor in the Master Bathroom. (Shane actually installed it). Anyway, it looks 110% better than what was in here when I bought the house.
I'm a semi-creative person. I try to make my own flower arrangements and anything else that I can make myself and not have to spend a fortune on in the store.
My next project was to make a wreath for my front door for the fall. I bought all my supplies on the way to my sisters a few weekends ago and I decided to make it today, Labor Day.
I started cleaning my house Sunday and finished it today. My house is never "really" dirty at all. But it did need dusting and vacumming. Shane helped me with the dusting and vacumming and he even fixed one of my ceiling fans that the switch to the light had broke.
So, with my house cleaned and laundry going; I decided to start my wreath. Here is the picture of the finished product.
Tomorrow, Shane and I are replacing the master bathroom floor.
