Logan's Christmas

Today Shane's son, Logan, came down for his Christmas with us.

He got here around 7:00 pm and he was anxious to open his gifts. One of his "big" gifts was a grill. No, not an outside grill for cooking steaks. A grill as in Paul Wall, Nelly, etc. grill. It's a silver mouthpiece with crystals on it. You put it over your top teeth and then your styling and profiling...haha

Anyway, this is something he wanted, so we got it for him. I'll have to post a picture with his grill on later.

Well, gotta go finish up the Christmas thing......later.

Here's the picture of Logan and his grill

HP & PPP Postie

Last week, I wrote an entry how PPP and HP was giving away a digital camera and a photo printer. I would love to have a photo printer. The printer I have now is not that great at printing photos and I would really LOVE a new photo printer from HP and PPP.

Everything you need to take, print and share digital photos is here in this Digital Photography Review.

In the video below, a PPP postie can do a challenge and win a HP camera, printer and $1000. I would love if Ted and the PPP team came to Chattanooga, TN and offered me the chance to compete. I'd do it in a heartbeat...whatever they asked.

Check out the video and tell me how far would you go for a new Digital Camera, printer and some ching-ching?

Christmas with My Family

Friday evening, my sister and her family came down. We went ahead and opened my mom gifts that night and then exchanged gifts from me on Saturday morning. They went back home late Saturday morning.

Sunday evening, Shane and I went to his friend's house and exchanged gifts, then went to his mom's to eat dinner and exchange gifts. She got me a really nice velour jogging suit.

We got Ashley Sunday evening and got to wake up with her Christmas morning to let her open her gifts. She loved everything. I took her home and then Shane and I exchanged gifts. He got me this gorgeous leather coat and a laptop stand.

We went over to my mom's and then exchanged gifts with my other sister and her family. We had a lot of fun watching the kids open their gifts.

Overall, even though I wasn't all hyped up about this Christmas; we all had a great time.

Hope yours was Merry.

Christmas Returns

It's that time of year when Christmas has came and gone; but the returns are still here.

I have 3 things to return or exchange this Christmas. My sister bought me 2 sets of bed sheets; however, she bought Queen and I need King size. Those go back to Wal-mart and K-mart. I'm hoping that I also find some great deals while exchanging my gifts.

Mom bought me an outfit from Target and the pants are too big (which, is a good thing) so I need to take those back and I really hope they have a smaller size because I really like the pants.

She also bought me some camos but they are too small; however, I'm keeping those in hopes of being a goal pants when I lose some more weight.

During the exchange time of the year, coupons are a great thing to have. You save a little money in order to buy "more" things. haha

End of the Year Troubles

If you read my blog then you know our family has had lots of things happen this year. We've had several deaths in the family this year and then I had a miscarriage back in July. Not a good year at all to be honest.

Well, we only have 7 days left in 2006 and last night, our family had another tragedy come.

My youngest brother has been going thru a divorce(that he didn't want) and last night, he just went too far. I won't go into specific details; but he ended up in the hospital with us not knowing if he was going to make it thru the night.

He is doing better today and is finally awake; but please prayer for my brother and my family as we go thru this very difficult phase of his life.

I'm hoping he'll grow up this Christmas and realize how much his life is worth to himself, his child and his family.

Photo Printer

One of the gifts I meant to ask for this Christmas was a nice photo printer. I have just a standard Lexmark printer that scans, faxes, prints, copies. It's nice but I do a lot of digital photography and would love a nice new photo printer.

You know the one that prints out beautiful photos of all my little nieces and nephews and great-nieces.

True, it's not that expensive to send them to Walmart or Walgreens or Sams to get them printed; but how nice would it be to be able to print my own in the same great quality.

I'd really love one that prints all sizes of photos and one that I don't have to hook up to my PC; however, whichever kind someone would love to "Give" me would be so great!!!!

I know there is only 3 shopping days until Christmas; however, my birthday is coming up in a little over 2 weeks.

What a surprise it would be if in about 2 weeks, I received a new photo printer in the mail as a birthday gift from this friend of mine, Ted.

If you don't know Ted, you should really get to know him. He's a great guy and is always doing something wild and crazy. He's so generous with the things he gives away also.

So, Ted, I hope you and your family have a wonderful Holiday and hope to be hearing from you soon.

Living w/ HBP

This is a sponsored post

High Blood Pressure (HBP) runs in my family. My father had it, my mother and sisters have it; so I wasn't surprised when my doctor told me I had it over 10 years ago. The only thing that surprised me was that she only took it one time and decided I had HBP. I took the medicine for about 10 years until last year when I started dieting. It was my main goal to lose enough weight to get off HBP medicine.

Every time I went to my current family doctor, my blood pressure was never high. When I mentioned to him about coming off my medicine, he always said that the reason it was never high was because I was on medicine. Well, I had lost 50 lbs at the time so I took myself off my medicine and then when I went to him, my blood pressure wasn't high and I then told him I wasn't on medicine. I am now, officially, off my HBP medicine.

My mom, however, is not. She actually has to take 2 types of medicine for hers and often, one of the pills makes her feel weird and makes her hallucinate during the night time.

She has lost weight also but I wish she could come off her medicines too. I did some research on the web and found a natural medicine that is a non-prescription for blood pressure. Hyperestol reducing high blood pressure naturally.

It's not supposed to have the side effects that come along with prescription medicine and is all natural. This is something I will tell my mom about and see if she is interested in trying it.

5th Day of Christmas

It's the 5th day of Christmas
And all my shopping's done
All the gifts are wrapped
Well, wait there is this one

I'm off for the next week
Yet I still have so much to do
This weekend will be crazy
When, What, Where and Who

I'll be glad to see my family
And we'll all have so much fun
But I'll be happy when it's over
And all is said and done.

Ringtones & Avatars

This is a sponsored post

Before I met Shane, I never even knew what an avatar was. When I first met him, he played a lot of yahoo games and built a lot of avatars; not just for him but other people too. He had a lot of them on his computer.

Anyway, U-DOO lets you build ringtones with matching avatar characters. You can then just download them to your phone or even post on myspace.com(i know that's a popular site now-a days). What's even better, is the first 60-days are totally free.
Check it out here

I built one but I wasn't quite sure that's what I wanted on my phone; but it's a fun thing to do and I know teenagers would love it.

Christmas Debt

This time of the year is a lot of shopping going on; which in turn means a lot spending money. At my second job, it seems 90% of the shoppers are using credit cards to buy their Christmas purchases.

It's good if the credit cards are bank debit cards because that means you have to have the actual money to be spending it; whereas a credit card means you are, more than likely, going to end up paying interest on those Christmas gifts for many months to come after the actual holiday.

The only things I have actual used a credit card for are things I bought from Old Navy; everything else I have paid cash for.

I hear people at work talking about not having any money and thinking about getting a loan. Loans are nice but you have to pay them back. Debt Consolidation loans seem like a great idea if you actually close the accounts that you pay off and don't run your bills back up.

Several coworkers are doing Remortgages. This is something I'm not interested in; but I guess you do what you need to do to survive.

Loans are good if you know how to get out of debt and actually pay off your loan and not charge again. I think I can manage to pay with cash because I just keep thinking 2 more months until February when I get my taxes back and I get a nice incentive check at work.

On the 9th Day of Christmas

The house is all decorated
The gifts are all wrapped
It's only 6 in the morning
I'm going back down for a nap

Only 9 days til Christmas
5 gifts left to buy
I plan on finishing that up today
Oh wait, did I just lie?

No, I'm sure I can do it
I mean, it has to be done
Mom and I will go shopping
And have all kinds of fun!!

Home Decor

I love decorating, whether it be for The Holidays or just adding something special to my house.

A friend of mine, Cindy, just got a house that is being totally renovated. I mean from the outside in. I know she is having fun with it because everyone would love to have their own home to totally decorate. From picking out your flooring to wall color to cabinets to wallpaper and how everything will be laid out.

My house really doesn't have a thing but to just be nice and cozy. I like Iron Wall Decor and have a collage picture frame that is wrought iron.

My mom asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I really don't need anything but I need to think of something so I went "window" shopping online.

I like Wall hooks for the fact that they are so useful for just about anything. I have a mirror with hooks already in my living room and Shane hangs his hats on them. (except now our stockings are hung)

Even a Welcome sign to hang on my garage would be nice too. Okay mom, I've given you two suggestions but I'm still thinking.......

Inside My House

The inside of my house is completely decorated for Christmas. When I got home from work last night; Shane had put up the tree for me. All I had to do was hang the ornaments, the lights were even already on. (haha, the tree has lights already on it).

Anyway, my tree is decorated and beautiful. I have some bows to put on the tree but I haven't actually decided if I want to put them on yet or not. Now, I just have the outside to decorate. I have reindeer and a blowup to go outside. Well do that tonight if I don't work my 2nd job.

I only have 3 gifts to buy for and 1 of them I have no idea what to get. Wait, make that 5 gifts. I have my 2 sisters, 1 niece, Shane and his mom. I only have 12 days left to Christmas.

My mom has me beat this year...she has all her decorations complete, all her gifts bought and wrapped; now she is just waiting for Christmas. How lucky she is!!!

Internet Reality Show

I'm a huge fan of reality tv. I just can't seem to get enough of them. I usually have one to watch every night. I started watching a new one on Mtv called Big and Rob.

It's about Rob Dyrdek, a professional skateboarder and his best friend, bodyguard, Christopher "Big Black" Boykin. They live together and just got a new bulldog puppy called "Meaty". He's precious, of course. Anyway, I love their show. They are hilarious and it's kind of like the old show "The Odd Couple". Just hilarious sometimes.

Anyway, now there is an Internet Reality Show called RockStartUp and it is a reality show online that you can watch. It's pretty good. I guess because I'm nosy(a little), I love watching about other people's lives and how they live and what they go thru on a daily basis.

Here's episode 3, check it out...I enjoyed it and can't wait to see more.

13 Days Until Christmas

There are 13 days until Christmas, which is less than 2 weeks away and I don't even have my tree up yet. If you know me; I normally have my house/yard decorated, all the gifts bought and wrapped and under the tree and just relaxing while everyone else is going crazy. Well, this year, it's me the one going crazy.

I have gotten down all the Christmas boxes from my attic and have all but 3 gifts bought; but I don't have my tree up, my yard isn't decorated and none of the gifts have been wrapped.

Is it because I'm getting older and really don't care as much anymore or just that I'm so busy working 2 jobs and just doing other things to get anything done?

I'm pretty sure it's because I'm working 2 jobs and I just don't feel like I have time or energy to do anything else. I had planned on putting up the tree last night but then got called in to work at Old Navy. I was there until 11:30 last night, so I came home, winded down and went to bed around 1:15.

I need to make a list of things to do so that they get done, and SOON.

1) Put up and decorate Christmas Tree
2) Decorate yard
3) But 3 more presents (can't do this until next Weds)
4) Wrap presents that I do have
5) Take gifts to work for coworkers

My mom did #5 for me. When we went to Kentucky, I found these mini loaf pans that were ceramic and decorated. They were cute and a great deal so I purchased 13 of them. My mom made her Friendship bread in each loaf pan and wrapped them in red saran-wrap and put them each in a Christmas bag. They are so cute and I really appreciate her doing this. She even put a green bow on each of them. Way to go, MOM!!!! You're the best.

So, #5 will be crossed out today. Speaking of work, I have 25 minutes to get ready and out the door. Have a great day!

It's Cold & Sinus Season Again

Every year when the weather changes, I get sick and stay sick for a couple of weeks. It may start off in my throat and then go to my voice then eventually to my nose.

Well, I'm at the nose stage now. I never go to the doctor for it; I usually just let it run it's course; however, I think one thing that would help the nose problem is if I had a humidifier in my bedroom. I have central heat and air and the heat is so dry, it just adds more problems to my nose.

I had a humidifier when I lived at my mom's and I think it helped a little; but it seemed you had to change the filter alot and it was really more trouble than it's worth.

I found a site that compares the different types of humidifiers that was really helpful. It's seems the ultrasonic type is best; less noise, less electricity and no risks of burning.

Visit Humidifier Information for lots of helpful tips and advice if you are looking for a humidifier this Winter season.

Florida Gators

I am a Tennessee Vols fan; however, Shane is a huge Florida Gators fan. When it came down to the last 2 games of the season, I was for the Gators since the Vols didn't have a chance at the SEC Title or the National Championship.

I like football and am pretty good about picking teams so when USC and UCLA played, I told Shane that UCLA would win and then Florida would beat Arkansas and Florida would end up playing Ohio State for the Championship. He didn't believe any of it. He never thought the BCS would rank Florida #2 and they would play against Ohio State.

We were at Amigos when the games were going on and could barely eat for trying to watch the last 10 mins of the USC vs UCLA game and then the Florida vs Arkansas game.

Anyway, Florida is playing against Ohio State for the Championship and I'll be rooting for them and hoping they will win for Shane.

I'm still a Tennessee Vols fan; it's just kind of like you are for Tennessee and whoever is playing Bama. Well, I'm for Tennessee and Florida as long as they aren't playing each other.

PPP is GREAT!!

I haven't been blogging as much lately because I've been working two jobs and just really haven't had the time so I apologize if I haven't had anything interesting to say.

As you know, Payperpost(PPP) is a service that you get paid to advertise on blogs. It gets a lot of flack from people regarding if this is a good thing or not.

I, personally, love PPP. I think it's a great way for someone to make a little extra money doing what they enjoy, Blogging.

I started PPP back in October and so far, I've made right at $500. I've spent it on a variety of things to include paying bills, Christmas shopping, eating, etc. You name it and I've used PPP money to purchase, buy, pay it.

I know I've said it a hundred times, it seems, but I highly recommend PPP to anyone that just wants to make a little extra money and have some fun. Yes, you can have fun on certain opportunities....the videos are great.

Try it if you think you'd like something like this and share your experience with PPP.

Shopping, Shopping & More Shopping

I've only been Christmas shopping one time this year so far; however, when I got home Shane got things down from the attic that I had purchased throughout the year.

We sat down and wrote down what we had and for who and you know what? I'm in great shape as far as Christmas gifts go. I have a huge family and out of about 21 people to buy for; I only have 9 people left.

I think that's great. Some people I just have the 1 thing left to get and I think this weekend, I'll get that all done.

Also, this weekend, we will be decorating our house for the Christmas season and I can't wait!!!

Merry "early" Christmas to All!!

Poker Anyone?

I enjoy playing cards, any type of cards to include Poker, Rook, Blackjack, Solitaire, etc.

A coworker friend of mine plays Texas Poker at parties. She is always winning a lot of money and seems to really enjoy it. I'd like to play like that just one time for the fun of it. She also plays online Poker.

I'd like to find Free Poker that you can play online. Most sites make you do a $50 deposit to play; however, I found some that are actually free.

I think I may start playing online for the fun of it....

I just have to keep saying it's just for fun or I could easily become addicted.

So Much To Do in So Little Time

This week is going to be VERY busy. Starting tonight, I have Ashley until Saturday afternoon. Also tonight is Weight Watchers and I have to work my second job until 11. Oh and today, Shane starts his new job!!! (yeah)

Anyway, I start work at 8 until 4:45, rush to WW by 5:15, change clothes, weigh, change clothes again, eat and then be at my second job by 6:00. Work until 11:00, which will probably be 12 because we have to clean the store.

Come home and get Ashley from my mom's, which she'll probably be asleep but she said she is going to stay awake. Have fun, Mom!!!

Then come home and crash. Did I say I was 38 years old and too old for most of this???

As I stated before; I feel young until I have to do so much in so little time, That's when my body starts catching up with my age.

Well, I hope you all have a Great day; I'm going to try to.

PS: I think I may have come within a pound of meeting my goal tonight at WW!! Wish me Luck.

Photoworks Coupon

I have a digital camera and love it; wouldn't trade it for anything in the world, however, I rarely get the pictures printed from it. I normally just transfer the pictures from my camera to my PC.

However, when I get a great deal, meaning less than 19 cents a picture, I usually take the time to get my pictures printed off.

Well Photoworks Coupons gives me that chance. You can get reprints for only 10 cents a picture!!! That's a great deal to me. They have a ton of different additional offers like 20% off your entire order or 15 free prints. Also, when you sign up you get 25 FREE prints.

Well, I gotta go; I have to order me some pictures. This is a one of those great deals you rarely find on the internet.

Value of my House

I've lived in my house for 2 years now and did a little renovating when I bought it; but not a lot. I do wonder what my house value is now though. When I was 17, I worked for a real estate appraiser for 5 years and know a little about the business. If I had a Fannie Mae Form, I could probably just do my own appraisal. Even after I went to work for my current employer; I still did part-time work for another appraiser, so I still have my knowledge of real estate.

On eppraisal_logo.jpg, you can use this tool for a quick and easy way to find out the essential information on any property in the US.

So, I tried it. I wasn't impressed. It told me the year my house was built and the square footage of it but it said "Unable to determine value". Then it wanted me to get a detailed appraisal, which didn't cost; but it still couldn't determine the value of my house.

I even tried my mom's address and still couldn't determine the value. If you own your own home, please try this and let me know if it works for you. If I get enough comments that say it doesn't work; I may write the company.

NOTE: After I wrote this, I read the FAQ section and it states:

" Why is the estimated value range too low or too high? One explanation of this is that you live in a non-disclosure state. A non-disclosure state means that that state does not allow sales data to be on public record. Therefore, we estimate the sales price using other data indicators. These indicators will not be as accurate of having an actual sales price".

Tennessee was included in the list of Non-disclosure state. So, if you live in TN, it doesn't work for us.

Goal for the Week

This past Tuesday when I went to Weight Watchers(WW), I stayed the same. That's good considering it was the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and I did eat. So, I'm still sitting at 3 lbs. above the goal I set a few weeks back.

I have the willpower to pass up the things I love; however, I just can't get rid of those 3 lbs. I set myself and my mom a goal of losing 5 lbs. this next Tuesday. I think one of my problems is I have a scale now; so everyday I weigh myself. Sometimes I weigh 2 and 3 times a day like something miraculously will have changed. I know weighing yourself everyday isn't good either.

It's funny though how I can feel the difference in my clothes with just a few pounds. Either lost or gained; it doesn't take much, huh?

Well, today is the big day to take Diesel to see Santa. I just wish more stores let you bring your animals into them. We have to go to Pet Smart, then bring Diesel home and then go back to Mall for some Christmas shopping.

Happy Day to All!!!

Logo.jpg is a new international search engine coming soon. You can currently go to their site and register your Web address. We want Megaglobe so that we can use something else besides Yahoo or Google. I use Google on a regular basis; but occasionally use Yahoo, so I'm ready for something new. It's exciting when new technology comes out. I just wonder what they will have that will make users want to use Megaglobe.com rather than their normal search engine. Well, here's even Ashley wishing Megaglobe would hurry up. Make sure to register your site so that you can part of something new and exciting.

Diesel & Santa

Tomorrow morning, we are taking Diesel to meet Santa. He is going to get his picture made with Santa and I'm so anxious to see how he acts around him. Normally Diesel is so loving and just loves everyone; but who knows, he is getting bigger.

Last week when Shane took him for a walk; someone wanted to pet him and he actually growled at the guy. He has never growled at anyone before; not even another animal. Well, there was this one time with a cat...but that's another story for another time.

Anyway, we are also going to get him a new bed tomorrow and tonight will be his first night without a bed whatsoever. I'm so hoping he won't pee in this bed. Shane said he is peeing on his bed because we've scolded him about peeing on the carpet.

I just don't know but I hope a visit with Santa and a new bed will be just the right medicine that the Vet ordered.

And, yes, I will be posting his picture with Santa tomorrow.
