Late Spring Cleaning

Sometimes I get in these moods to just clean. Well, last night was one of those. I cleaned out 1 of my closets and ended up with 4 bags of clothes to pass on to someone else.

1 bag for my sister, Donna
1 bag for my niece, Amanda

and then 1 bag for a girl at work's daughter. She had asked me if I ever go thru my clothes to let her know and she'd buy them. I gave her an awesome deal, just $1.50/piece.

So, I had enough clothes that I never wear for 3 people. Even though I got paid for 1 bag, I still did my good deed for the day.

1 down, 1 to go.

Did I Say I Wanted Children?

This past weekend, we went up to my sister's house because my nephew and his girlfriend had their baby. Guess what? Another girl. Jailynn Marie, 7 lbs. 10.5 oz. 21 inches long.

Well, being such a family oriented person; my mom and I decided to bring back Alexis (4) and Stephanie (19) back to Chattanooga for a week. My sister and her boyfriend bought a house so we were going back up there this weekend to see it.

On top of having Alexis and Stephanie, we had Ashley Monday; then today we had Skylar and Ashley. By the way, all of these are my nieces.

After today, I about pulled my hair out. You have to realize that Ashley and Skylar are only children and they semi play well with others. Ashley is bossy and Skylar is shy and Alexis is moody. Stephanie is old enough to behave. haha

I know it would be different with my own child or am I just thinking that in order to NOT talk myself out of having a child. You notice I say, "a child"? Lord willing, 1 will definitely be enough for me.

I'm almost 40 and I would be estatic if I could just have 1 and very thankful.

So even though weeks like this sometimes turn me against having children, I still want "a" child.

New Deck

Well, I'm finally getting around to showing you my new deck that my nephew Jason built.

It's so nice, now just to save for table and chairs.

BIG News

When I started this blog, I was trying to get pregnant and wanted to keep an online journal of the process. That was about 2 years ago and I never got pregnant even with fertility treatment.

I had really given up worrying about getting pregnant and had finally accepted that if it happened, it happened; if not, I was fine with that too.

Last week, I had this weird feeling that I was pregnant. I felt different and different meaning, just there was something different about me. Also, my breasts were extremely sore.

I didn't want to tell anyone about this because I didn't want to jinx myself. Well, Saturday night, I decided to share this with Shane. I wanted to buy a pregnancy test, but I was supposed to start my period on Tuesday and thought, "I can wait 3 days". So, I didn't buy one.

Sunday morning around 5:00 am, I woke up in excruciating pain. I felt like I needed to vomit, but I couldn't. I got real dizzy and keep falling. I fell in Ashley's bedroom and hit my head on her dresser and then hit the floor. I sat there for about an hour before I called my mom to tell her what was going on. I kept breaking out in a sweat and hurt really bad in my lower abdominal area. I finally got up to tell Shane it was time to go to the ER and when I walked in our bedroom, I got dizzy again and hit the wall in our bathroom and ended up breaking my pinky toe.

We went to the ER around 7:45 am...I suffered at home for 2 1/2 hours. When we got there, we waited about 20 mins. From then on, everything happened so fast.

They took my blood pressure and it was 65/33. I got scared then and my mom was really scared she was losing me. I was so bad off.

They took blood and we found out that I was pregnant. You can imagine the shock. However, the doctor stated that seeing all the symptoms and signs, it pointed towards an ectopic pregnancy. They called my OB/GYN and she immediately did surgery.

The fetus was right at the end of my left fallopian tube right at my uterus and had ruptured. They had to remove my left tube. I lost 2 pints of blood and came thru the surgery just fine.

I'm doing 110% better now and am home. I still have my right tube and should be able to get pregnant again.

At least now we know that I can.

Remodeling

I've been wanting a deck built on the back of my house; well, my nephew called me Friday and asked if this would be a good weekend? I said, "Sure".

So, as I type, Jason is outside starting on my deck. I can't wait!!

I'll post a final picture after it's built.

By the way, his girlfriend is with him and 9 months pregnant. She was due Friday, the 7th. Wouldn't it be great if she were to have the baby while they were here? I think it would be, not so sure what she thinks though.

Anyway, I'll keep you posted.
