Christmas Coupons

There are only 25 shopping days until Christmas. 25 days!!!!???? This year has flown by so fast. I'm usually one of these people that have their shopping 3/4 of the way finished before December even comes around; well, this year, I'm not even 1/2 way done yet.

One good thing about working a 2nd job is the discount I receive. That always helps when buying gifts; Christmas or not. Savings are always good.

There are hundreds and hundreds of coupons to use at so many stores; I couldn't possibly list them all.

A few of my favorites that I'll be using this Christmas are KBToys, Old Navy and Lane Bryant.

You would be crazy not to take the chance at all the savings they are offering out there. Lane Bryant has a 30% off your order. That is not only saving the tax; but an additional 20%.

I gotta be an end to this right now, I have some shopping to do.

Have a fun and safe shopping season!!

Another Tooth

Diesel is so much like a new baby it isn't funny. He lost his 3rd tooth yesterday and it really scared me.

The previous 2 teeth didn't bleed; so when we saw blood on him we(well, I) freaked out.

I had just picked Ashley up from school and she went to play with him and said he had blood all over his arm(front paw). I immediately freaked out, yelling for Shane. When we went to Diesel's room, there was a stick in there with blood on it. I'm still freaking out until Shane finally gets a hold of Diesel and sees that his mouth is bleeding. We finally found the tooth and got him all cleaned up.

He's also wetting his bed. He has finally stopped using the bathroom on my carpet in the laundry room; but all of a sudden he is peeing on his bed. And I don't mean just a little, he's using his bed as the bathroom for peeing now. I just don't know what to do.

We are going this weekend to buy him his 4th bed and hopefully this will be his last for a while.

He is a baby for sure; but he's my little(big) baby!!

Poster Sized Prints

I redecorated Ashley's room in pink camoflauge. She even asked me to take down the princess things on her walls. I guess she's growing up(she's 9). Anyway, she is big into monkeys right now; so I wanted to find some monkey posters and hang them onto her walls. No such luck so far though.

I went and found some cute monkey pictures that I thought I could get blew up into poster sizes. Walmart was way too expensive for the size of poster I wanted. I wanted it atleast to be 18 x 24(i think that's what size a poster is).

Anyway, Wallhogs is a great site for exactly what I want. Imagine taking one of your photographs and blowing it up to whatever size you want. They can even remove any backgroud that you didn't want. They print it on an adhesive backing so that when you receive it, you just stick it to your wall. I Wallhog just 24" tall is just $24.99.

I know that's kind of expensive for a poster to hang in a kid's room; but I look at it like this. Here's a custom made poster of something you love and want to hang on your wall. I think they would make great Christmas presents.

Diesel & His Bed

Diesel is now 6 months old and has his own little personality. I told you about how he has chewed up 2 beds within the last 2 weeks; well, after the 2nd bed, I didn't buy him a new one.

Diesel has a blanket that I cover him up with at night and most of the time, he keeps it on him and sleeps with it. Well, after the 2nd bed got the stuffing chewed out; I wrapped his blanket around it and just made him sleep on his blanket.

Last night, I look out to check on him and he has the blanket off the back part of the bed and his hind legs in the bed and then his body laying on his blanket across the bed. He's use to being covered up, so we figured he chewed his bed in order to keep warm by being able to put his legs inside it.

So, last night, I took a sheet and wrapped his bed up in it so that he could have his blanket back as a cover. What's weird is every time I wash his blanket or put something new on his bed, he pees on it. I know he's just marking his territory; but he's stinking everything up. I just don't know what to do with him.

I think Santa needs to bring him one of the nested beds. This is the type of bed we bought him when we first brought him home and he loved it. Didn't destroy it or pee on it.

Santa, are you listening?

Will I Ever Stop Dieting?

I've been dieting for almost 2 years now and I am just stuck. And yes, the Holidays don't help. I'm just stuck at a point where I either stay the same or gain a couple of pounds, which I don't want to do. If I could just lose about 4 pounds would put me under a BIG mark in losing weight to my goal. I just can't seem to lose those dang 4 pounds. Once I do meet my long-term goal, will I stop dieting? I mean, I know I'll have to watch my weight, but do I have to stay on a diet for the rest of my life?

I've thought about taking diet pills along with dieting. I know diet pills aren't the best way to lose weight; but like I said, I'd like to get under this mark. I've taken diet pills before and they didn't affect my body to where I feel nervous all the time or make my mind race; however, you just never know what it is doing internally to your body.

N101 Nutrition has Weight Loss Herbs; which I think should be good for you. They have a 15-day Weight Loss Cleanse & Flush that sounds like something that may help me get rid of those pesky 4 pounds. I'm not an addictive person, except for food, so I'm not scared I'll get addictive to diet pills.

I go to Weight Watchers tonight, so we'll see how much damage Thanksgiving did to me. I think I'll be okay; but one never knows.

Working from Home

At my primary job; we have the ability to work from home. In my particular job, we can't actually work from home, but we can access our computer at work from home and catch up on emails, finish any projects we may be doing, etc. I help answer the Web emails from clients and while I've been off for the Holidays; I find myself checking the inbox and replying to their questions/problems.

I'm a semi-workaholic and a semi-perfectionist. I just don't like the idea of a client locked out our Web site for a long period of time and since it's the Holidays, they would have to wait 5 days for someone to come in on Monday. I've been checking the inbox and answering what I can and just trying to keep it down so that when my coworkers come in on Monday, they aren't just swamped with work.

Does anyone else have that ability at their employment? If so, do you find yourself working during non-working hours?

PS: And I don't do it because I get paid; because I don't, I just love my job and I enjoy helping people.

My Wish List

Christmas is near and I haven't really thought about what I wanted until today. I saw a commercial for a compact paper shredder. They said it was so small, it could fit on your kitchen counter; so that is 1 thing I need/want.

Last year, we bought a king size bed and I don't have a lot of bedding. I have one comforter and about three sheets. So, king size sheets are 2 things I need. And that is a need, not a want. I'd like to have green, blue and yellow set. I really don't need the set, just the fitted sheet. I bought me a comforter set this past year at a yard sale. It was brand new and went with the colors in my bedroom. We never use the flat sheet nor have we had a chance to use the comforter yet.

I like flannel sheets also so then I can stay with my quilt during the winter and not have to worry about using the comforter.

Well, those are two things I've thought about for Christmas so far. I'll let you know if my list continues to grow.

Age vs Body

Today I definitely confirm that I'm no spring chicken anymore. I'm 38 years old and today I felt all 38 years.

I started my 2nd job today and 8 hours on my feet wore me out and prove to me that I'm not as young as I thought I was. As long as I can remember, I've never felt what my actual age was; I've always felt younger.

Up until today, I felt about like I was in my mid 20s. Never felt like I was in my LATE 30s.

I enjoyed the job though and I'll be back tomorrow. Tomorrow's shift is just 5 hours, so it's all good.

I guess there comes a time in everyone's life where your age eventually catches up to your body.

Presents for Mom

Christmas is near and I really haven't even begun to Christmas shop. My Mother is the hardest person to buy for. I mean, she doesn't need anything and when you ask her if she wants anything; it's always the same thing, "Don't buy me anything".

I hate that answer. She's does so much for everyone and I'd like to be able to do something for her. I'm been racking my brain trying to figure out what to get her even though she told me twice, already, not to buy her anything. My sisters and I were going to go in together on a remote starter; but I kind of brought it up to my mom and she didn't want us to spend that kind of money. Scratch that idea. And that's really what it comes down to; she doesn't want us to spend our money on her.

Well, I have an inexpensive; yet something she needs gift in mind. Of course, I can't tell you what it is because she reads my blog. At work yesterday, I was mentioning my gift idea to someone and they said get her a streamlight flashlight. I thought that was kind of a weird gift because who buys someone a flashlight for Christmas? (unless you're a man)

When they said a flashlight, I was like, "What?". They said, well she lives alone and if the power goes out this Winter, she would have one. I'm still not convinced about that gift but they are nice flashlights. Opticsplanet even has an Emergency Flashlight Station that would be a great idea in case of emergency.

Nothing in stone yet, so give me some ideas of what to get a mom that has and doesn't want anything? So, she says.

Doggie Bed Problems

Okay, we are having major bed problems with Diesel. When we first got Diesel, we got him one of those enclosed wool-type beds and he played with it but never destroyed it.

Now that he is bigger, we had to get him another bed. The enclosed ones are too expensive for his size; so we bought him one of those pillow-type beds that are only $10 at Walgreens. The first one, yes there has been more than one, got demolished. I'm talking about every stitch of stuffing out of it and thrown all over my laundry room.

Well, last night, I stopped at Walgreens again and bought him another one. It lasted ONE day. I came home tonight and all the stuffing was all over the floor again. Diesel and his daddy had a long talk and I stuffed the pillow back together and wrapped his blanket around it. He's laying on it; but how long it will last is up in the air.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a good, durable, kinda cheap doggie bed? If so, I would love to hear them.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Thanksgiving is just 2 days away and then it's Christmas time. So far we've been able to get Diesel an outfit for every Holiday and he has worn them. I even bought him some antler ears to look like a Reindeer; but this is just too adorable and I have to get him a Santa Suit. There are all types of Santa Costumes available; but this one for Diesel is too precious.

He'll be so cute and I'll be sure to put pictures on here. I may even have to get me a little Mrs. Santa Suit.

Thanksgiving #1

This past Saturday we(Shane, Mom, Diesel and I) went up to my sister's for a Thanksgiving Luncheon.

Everyone loved Diesel(of course) and he did really well on his first long trip.

My sister's boyfriend is a chef and the menu was all delicious. We had Turkey, Dressing, Gravy. Baked Ham with this wonderful glaze. Devil Eggs, Potato Salad, Sweet Potato Casserole, Broccoli Casserole, Green Beans, Waldorf Salad(i think) Mac-n-Cheese and Rolls.

For desert, we had Pumpkin, Pecan, and Apple Pie and then a Pumpkin Cake. It was all so good that I'm not going to Weight Watchers this week. haha

Check out my new "Author" picture. That's my latest great niece, Jailynn. She is 4 months old and isn't she precious???!!

Old Navy Holiday Work

I have been thinking about getting a second job for the Holidays. I've worked as a Sales Associate during the Holidays before but not at a store that does just tons of tons of business.

Last night I applied online at Old Navy, thinking I may hear from them sometime next week if they were interested. Well, they called me this afternoon around 4:00, I had an interview at 6:00 and I got the JOB!!! It is just a part time job and just thru the second week of January.

I think I'll enjoy it but like I told Shane, I'm not a spring chicken anymore. I hope I can keep up with all the young people.

Impressionist

I never been good at doing impressions or acting or doing plays, skits, etc. I'm very creative when it comes to making things just not very a very good imagination. Or maybe just not talented?

Anyway, Ashley is have a great imagination and as you saw in my previous post, she plays it out well.

Check out Antonio doing his best impression of a catfish. I guess it's kind of funny because it's kind of stupid.

Maybe that's why I don't try to be imaginative because I don't want to look stupid?

Give Payperpost a Chance

As you all know, I love Payperpost!! I think it's a great new internet thing. I don't know who originally came up with the idea; but I think they are a genius. I know some people don't agree with blog advertising and I really don't understand why?

It's a great and easy way to make money; plus you blog about things you enjoy or think someone else would be interested in.

Now, I don't agree with people that have 4-5 blogs just so they can get 12-15 ads in a day. I don't think that's right at all; however, I only have 1 blog and my blog is a personal blog. I talk about my family, Diesel(my dog), things I enjoy(Nascar) and sometimes work.

Don't knock Payperpost until you try it and if you just absolutely refuse to try it; let me know why you are so against it.

Note: All comments are welcomed or I wouldn't have asked you to tell me what you think. Enjoy!!

Ho-hums of Dieting

I had only 3.2 lbs to lose to be under a MAJOR point on my diet. I thought I had done it this week; but no, I only lost the .2 lbs. I want to lose that extra 3 lbs. this next week.

One problem with losing 3 lbs. this week......we are going to my sister's for Thanksgiving Dinner this weekend. My sister's boyfriend is a chef so you know the food is going to be delicious.

I just hope I will have the strength to eat moderately and not overdo it. I mean you can still eat at the Holidays; just have to eat in moderation.

Anyway, pray for me that I'll have the willpower to do good this next week. I have about 6 weeks left in this year and I'd love to lose an extra 10 lbs.

Great Dell Coupons

Are you in need of a new PC or Laptop? I was able to get me a Dell laptop a couple of months ago and I love it. If you are in need of a Laptop or PC, you might as well get it cheap.

Check out these Dell Coupons. You can get a Dell Dimension 5150 Desktop with 19″ Flat Panel for only $399.

I know a lot of people that have Dell and I've never heard anything bad about them. I love my laptop and it's so convenient, especially when Shane is on our main PC.

No Drip Umbrella

It has been raining alot around Chattanooga lately and normally I don't carry an umbrella for various reasons. I park right across the street from where I work and they are such a bother.

When the show American Inventor came on, there was a contestant that invented an Un-brella. The idea was really smart. An umbrella that folds into it's handle so that it doesn't drip everywhere.

I ran across this new umbrella called the No drip Umbrella. I just had to check it out to see if it was the same as what I saw on American Inventor. It wasn't; however, I still think it's a great idea. I wish I was that creative to think of a great invention that the entire world could use.

My job sells umbrellas and often that is something we get for Customer Appreciation. These new umbrellas would be a great gift giver.

Miscellaneous News

1. I was totally shocked when I heard that Britney Spears had filed for a divorce from Kevin Federline. Shocked meaning, I couldn't believe she'd finally grown some balls to actually leave him.

I'm glad she finally decided to divorce him because he has brought her down so much; however, I think it was her own fault too.

I like Britney Spears and I hope she gets her life back and takes care of her babies and gets her career back on track.

2. On a different note though, I have the new Justin Timberlake CD and there is a song on there that I believe is for and about Britney Spears. If you have the CD, it's track #6; listen to it and tell me what you think? There's another song on there that I think is about Justin and Britney also, but I can't remember the track #.

3. Tuesday night is the Grand Finale of Dancing With the Stars. I really have enjoyed it this season. There were a lot of great dancers on the show. I like Emmitt because he can really move and seems to be really having fun. But, I like Mario also because he's just so dang sexy. He can dance too and he looks great while he's dancing.

At least the news of Britney and Kevin divorcing has taken the spotlight off of Madonna; which is a good thing.

As finally, even though I love hearing all the latest Hollywood gossip; the media really needs to give some of them a break.

Downtown Politics

Today at lunch, a co-worker and I went for a walk. We stopped in at Curves to check out their membership plan. After we left Curves, we saw a bunch of TV cameras around The Innside Restaurant; I was like "I wonder what happened?". As we got closer, we heard someone speaking and finally we saw it was Harold Ford, Jr.

He was thanking Chattanooga for their support. We stood there for about 10 minutes listening to Harold Ford, Jr. and I really wish I had of voted. Not that my 1 vote would have made a difference; but I normally do vote. It's just I went before work and there was a long line; then by the time I got off work and went to Weight Watchers, it was too late.

I'm glad I got to hear Harold Ford, Jr. speak today downtown and I'll remember to go out of my way to vote next time.

Online Gaming

I've never been one for online gaming except the occasional word game or something I know I can beat. Shane, on the other hand, is a BIG time online gamer. Every free minute he has revolves around online gaming. He mainly plays Dungeons & Dragons Online and he loves it. And no, it's not a cult game.

NinjaBattles - Join the Battle! lets you compete for a chance to win up to $500. I may have to try that for $500. Right here at Christmas time, I could use that.

Let me know if you try it out. Tell me what you think about it.

JA in a Day

Yesterday, I did my volunteer work for Junior Achievement (JA). I was nervous at first; but once I got in the classroom and started the lessons, everything went smooth.

The kids were great and we learned all about Families and how families work together to help one another. We learned about how important education was in order to learn skills and go to college. We learned about what jobs are and how jobs help us with our needs and wants.

It's funny how kids perceive needs and wants. Yes, they were only 1st graders; but they were cute. I showed them various pictures and ask if the picture was a need or want. They grasped the concept of I need that, I want this; but it was comical. I held up a picture of a TV and one little boy said, "We need a TV because my mom's boyfriend took ours". Funny, yes; but sad too.

The school I taught at was an Inner-City school and it was sad, in a way, because when we went over jobs that their parents did; most didn't work and some worked fast food.

Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with fast food; at least they have jobs and are trying to make it for the families. I worked fast food once in my life too.

Anyway, I had a great time and plan on volunteering again next Friday at another school. JA came around and took a picture of you and your class. I'll post the picture later on.

If you've never volunteered before, try it if you have the time. It's very rewarding and it gives something back to your community.

Cheaper Insurance

Right now I'm at a point in my life where I'm trying to make ends meet. I did away with my digital cable(extra $50/month) because we really don't watch that much of the channels that digital cable offered.

One time our work offered us a chance to get Free Insurance Quotes for our auto and home insurance. At the time, I didn't have a home; but I did try to see if anyone could beat my current auto insurance.

When a Web site states, "Free Quotes Online", I want it to be literally able to give me a quote as soon as I plug in my information. The questionnaire was easy, but lengthy. Here I sat for about 10 mins. choosing my options and giving all this personal data to get to the end and it say, "Someone will call you with your low quotes". I don't want that. I want a free quote online. Why can't just quotes pop up after you submit your information?

I don't like Web sites that advertise things just to get you on it and then never come thru with what they promise.

Have you had an experience like this? If so, please shared what other Web sites have done this to you.

Junior Achievement

At my work, we got a notice that Junior Achievement needed volunteers for Junior Achievement Day at a local elementary school; so I volunteered.

I teach 5 lessons within 4 hours to 1st graders Weds. morning from 8:00 to 12:00. Karen from JA brought my lesson material. I wondered if I got a little over my head. It's a lot of material to learn overnight; but I'm up for the challenge.

The lessons are regarding Families. I'm confident I can do the lesson and hopefully teach the children something about families and what you do as a family and help each other.

I'm excited; yet nervous about it all. I used to tutor at The Girls' Home here in Chattanooga, but standing in front of a bunch of 6 year olds; I don't know.

I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow. I better get to studying.

Election Day

Tomorrow is Election Day. The big race in Tennessee is the Senate race between Harold Ford, Jr. and Bob Corker. I normally vote Republican; but I really have no idea how to vote tomorrow.

I know all the candidates do this; but I hate when they bash their opponent. Wonder what would happen if one candidate didn't bash the other via tacky commercials? I would think that person would win by a landslide for the simple fact that they won honestly; not by airing the dirty laundry of their opponent.

What do you think? Do you think there will ever be a non-bashing campaign for any political party? I'm not big into politics but I do know voting is very important and I will be at the polls first thing in the morning casting my vote; but as of right now, I'm undecided.

Christmas is Near

I'm a big family person and I love being with my family all the time; that's part of the reason I live across the street from my mom. All my family except 1 sister and 1 brother live here in Chattanooga.

My sister live in Westmoreland, TN and my brother lives in Terre Haute, IN. My brother has been in a Federal prison for about 5 years now. Terre Haute is about 450 miles from Chattanooga so the drive is about 7-8 hours long. I go and see him about 2 times a year because of that. I miss him so much and it's weird how you think you'd just write all the time but eventually you don't. I really should stay in touch more.

It's really hard around the Holidays because he is always in your thoughts and prayers; but you want him to be home with you and sharing this with his family and daughter.

I love Christmas music and I ran across this song by a band called Greener. It's called Greener's Christmas Song and the words to this song make me think about my brother. Listen to the acoustic version, it's really pretty.

Everyone Loves a Critic

As many of you know I started this blog as an online Pregnancy journal and then never got pregnant. I often write about my family, relationships, semi-work and now my dog, Diesel.

A friend of mine got me hooked on Payperpost because she wanted a new digital camera so this was her way to make the extra money without actually having to work any extra.

I live with my boyfriend and he lost his job so I thought this would be a good way to make some extra money until he found another job. It seems like a lot of people don't like Payperpost and I really haven't understood why people are so upset?

I even had an interview with a journalist student from New York about Payperpost. She was saying that a lot of people are against blogging advertisement for money. Like I said, I don't see the big deal about it.

Someone left me a comment stating that my blog had gone downhill and that I had sold my soul to Payperpost; well, I haven't. There are far more people than me that have 4-5 blog pages just so they can get 3 posts a day per each blog to make the money.

I've only made about $224 so far; but there are some that make in the thousands. If I had sold my soul to Payperpost, it would be consuming my life and so far, it isn't. There are days that I may only take 1 opportunity.

I'm sorry if you don't find my blog interesting and that you think it's all about Payperpost; because it's not. I talk about things I enjoy like my dog, nascar, TN football, etc.

You either keep reading my blog for enjoyment or not; that's your opinion and everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Do You Clip Coupons?

Are you the type of person that takes the time to clip coupons? I'm usually not for 1) I don't want to take the time to look for them and 2) I don't usually get a Sunday paper.

The last time I went grocery shopping; I clipped coupons and I ended up saving six plus dollars. That was basically my tax, so I was happy.

Even though I don't usually clip grocery coupons; I'm always looking for coupon codes for online shopping or department store coupons.

I enjoy shopping at Old Navy and/or The Gap. They have great prices on kid's clothes and Old Navy has plus size clothes that are cheaper than most plus size stores and they are stylish.

This Christmas, I will be tight on money so I'm looking for every way possible to save money so that I can buy my family what they want (within reason).

Boys of Nascar

This weekend the Boys of Nascar are racing at Texas Motor Speedway. After this race, there is only 2 races left in the Chase for the Cup.

So far, Dale Jr is in 4th place for the Championship and I'm hoping he'll be able to finish well these next 3 races and win the Cup.

Right now there are 15 laps to go and everyone is pitting. Dale Jr is in 21st but that because the fields is pitting. Meaning they are getting gas and new tires, if needed; so the field circles around and Dale Jr will be back in the top 10 before the pit stops are finished.

He was in 7th place before the pit stops, so he has a great chance at finishing in the top 5 or winning.

GO DALE!!!!!

UPDATE: Tony Stewart wins race, Dale Jr finishes 6th.

Engagement Rings

I've done a couple of entries about Weddings lately and this is something Shane and I may do somewhere in the future(2008 if all goes well). I've looked at engagement rings both at stores and shopping online. I really haven't found one that just says, "OMG, I have to have that ring as my engagement ring".

So, again, I'm shopping online and ran across Gold and Diamond Jewelry Web site. I'm looking for something unique that no one else has. The only one thing I know I want is either White Gold or Platinum. I don't want just Gold.

They have some beautiful settings; but this is the ring I like the best. I really like the square setting and just everything about it. It's an actual wedding set which includes the band. I like it and it's just about the right price that Shane could afford.

Goldenmine
has great prices for the newest couple just getting engagement to the couple that has been married 25 years and looking to update their wedding rings. Check it out for that special Christmas Present.

Update

Diesel went to the Vet this morning and everyone at PetSmart just loves him. This one lady wanted to trade her Yorkie for my Diesel!!! I was like, no.

Anyway, Diesel weighs 47.2 lbs. now. He's doing his spa thing and we will pick up back up later this afternoon.

He'll be so excited to see his mommy and daddy.

Who Will Win The Free Wedding?

I wrote an article last week whether To Wed or Not To Wed and how PayperPost was paying for a Free PayPerPost Wedding.

The winning couple will receive the wedding license and ceremony. 1 night Hotel stay. $1000 cash to spend if and when you leave your hotel room. Free Wedding video shown all over the internet. (as long as you don't tape the Honeymoon-haha)

You can read each couple's story and then vote for which one deserves the free Wedding.

I voted for Jamey and Lauren and to my surprise, I was the only person that has voted for them.

Well, I wish all three couples good luck and a happiness of love.

Diesel's Day at The Spa

Tomorrow, we take Diesel to the vet and it will be his last shot for a year. He's getting to be such a big dog.

I can't wait to see how much he weighs. Of course, he'll go back for regular check ups; but no more shots.

They say the shots don't hurt him because he has such thick skin; but it makes me feel better to know he doesn't have to have anymore for a while.

He'll get his monthly treatment of a bath, brushing, clipping, ear cleaning and smell good stuff. They usually give him a bandana afterwards too. He's like his day at the spa.

Fan of Forums?

I'm not really that much a fan of forums because most of the time it is users griping about something. The only forums I do find helpful are the ones when I have a PC problem. You can really find some good resolutions if you dig deep enough.

PayPerPost has their own forum and to be honest; I've never even been out on them, until now. I like the way their forum is set up to where you can actually sort by user names. Also, I enjoy that you can look at a postie's profile. I always wondered why you couldn't search for a postie just from the home page; now I know.

Most forums I can't get to at work(during my lunch and breaks) and by the time I get home I just go to the sites to do some blogging and that's about it.

If you get a chance and are interested, check out the forums on PayPerPost. There's some interesting read out there.

Dreams

Have you ever had a dream about something that you've dreamt about more than one time? I don't dream often, but when I do I usually dream the same dream over and over. For the longest time, I dreamed about flying all the time. Not flying in an airplane or anything like that; but actually flying myself with my arms.

Then I switched to this dream where I was going down this winding road and you were right on the edge of the mountain. It was a very dangerous road and in my dream, it was the only way to go to get to where I was going. I could picture this road in my head when I was awake as if it was a real road.

Today at work, I received an email with a picture of this road in Bolivia called "The Road of Death". When I opened the email, I was literally blown away. It was the exact same road in my dreams. I've never been to Bolivia nor have I ever seen this road or heard about it. Weird huh?

Here's a couple of pics of it.

Can You Tell I Love Racing?

I love racing....mainly Nascar racing; but I enjoy all types. There is a new show on SpeedTv called "Pinks". What is comes down to is you loose your race, you loose your car. Pinks is another word for the title of your car. It's a cool show but I get so into it because after each race, the two people try to agree upon the next race and who to give the advantage to. I don't agree with this, I think you should race and whoever looses, looses the car.

There are a lot of cool Drag Racing Clips. There is going to be an all day marathon of PINKS followed by premiere of PINKS All Out on Speedtv on Nov 23rd. I'll have to make sure we watch that.

Disney is Not My Friend

I have a Disney Credit Card and they reward you when you use it. After so many points, you get a Disney Reward Card and can go online and shop and use it.

Well, I had one with $46 on it so I thought I'd go online and find me something. Well, I found me a Goofy hitch for my Blazer and then a gift for someone for Christmas. The total with S&H was $33, so I had plenty on my Reward Card to buy these things.

This morning, I was doing my banking and they charged it to my checking account. That really makes me mad. Especially since I had a problem with the Reward Card and specifically called a customer service rep and she "supposedly" fixed everything.

I will be calling about this as soon as I finish this blog since they open at 7:00 am. Sometimes it doesn't pay to try to get something for free.

Muscle Cars

I like Muscle Cars even though I don't have one. Dale Jr did a Wrangler commercial in a muscle car...like James Dean.

Shane used to have a 1968 Red and White Camaro. It was really nice and if he still had it, I'd be driving it.

Speedtv is hosting a Muscle Car Marathon that will air Nov. 24 at 9 am EST.

Me in an HP Commercial

My friend, Alli, is so creative and I just love reading her blog. I saw where Fuller starred in his own commercial and I had to have this. It's not a real commercial; but I've seen these on TV with stars. Enjoy, I had a blast making this.

Juggling Diet, Work & Exercise

Ted from PayPerPost did his Team Confessional and it's all about dieting, work and exercise and how do you find time for all of it.

The way he puts things into perspective is really good and entertaining. Click play and see if anything he says sounds familiar. It does to me.

What's so funny is he doesn't even look fat to me; but he says his nephews call him "Mr. Chunk Butt".

I know what he means about finding the time to do it all. Work and dieting I can do without any problem; but the gym is where I feel like I don't have time for. This is my daily routine.

6:00 am - Get up, take Diesel out
6:15 am - Play with Diesel
6:30 am - Computer Time, which includes banking, blogging, shopping, etc.
7:00 am - Fix lunch, make breakfast
7:30 am - Get dressed
8:00 am - Leave for work
8:30 am - 5:15 pm - Work
5:40 pm - Get home
6:00 pm - Eat Dinner
6:45 pm - Play with Diesel
7:15 pm - Computer Time
8:00 pm - Watch TV - down time
10:00 pm - Shower
10:30 pm - 11:00 pm - Sleep

Where exactly does the gym fit in?

Book Swapping Update

Okay, I joined Title Trader and this morning I made an inventory of all my books that I no longer wanted/needed. I've already made 3 swaps and I'll be mailing them out tomorrow.

The only catch that I didn't like is that you have to pay the S&H when you send something; but then, of course, when you get something you want, it's totally free.

I really think this is a good thing that I'll thoroughly enjoy. I have several things on my Wishlist already.

Free Book Swapping

Most of my family are book readers. My mother and I mainly read romance novels like Nora Roberts and Harry Potter(of course); but my dad and sister and brother read drama books like John Grisham.

Anyway, on Titletrader, you can actually swap books with other people around the world for free. You just make an inventory list of all those books you have sitting around that you no longer want and if someone wants it, then you send it to them. You in turn get credit for every book you send and then you use those credits to get you any book that you want.

They make the inventory listing easy with having you enter just the ISBN number from the back of your book. That pulls all the necessary information about the book. They even have DVD, VHS, Music and Video Games listed. Sounds like a great idea.

I have some books that I'm going to do this with and my mother has a ton of books that I'm sure she doesn't need. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Here's my inventory so far; check it out, you may find a book you just have to read. They have a referral program too, so if you do check it out, please click here so that I get credit for you signing up.
