The roofing crew has been at my house since 8:00 this morning working on my new roof. They left around 6:00 and they have laid half of the shingles of my new roof.
It looks good, so far, but it's not complete with the trimming. They say they will be here at 6:00 in the morning and be finished by 3:00 pm. I can't to see the finished product.
The only thing I don't like about the whole thing is the mess that is in my front and back yard. I just want to go out there and clean up. Plus there are a lot of nails in my driveway on yard. Not a good thing for your car tires.
But anyway; I like having a new roof and improving the value of my house so I will definitely be posting a picture of the new roof.
Last night we went and saw Pirates 3. What really fascinating me was where we saw it.
We went to a drive-in!! Yes, I saw a drive-in. It's called Wilderness Drive-In located in Trenton, GA. Shane was skeptical at first because he didn't know how the sound would be. He thought those speakers that hook on your window wouldn't be very good quality. I told him, "You know technical has changed since drive-ins used to be popular; maybe they will have something better".
It only took about 25 minutes to get there from East Ridge and very easy to find. The admission price was only $5/person; which I thought was very reasonable. At the gates, Shane asked about the speakers and they told us that now you just set your radio to a certain station and you hear the movie right in your car with no separate speaker. I told him technology had changed.
Anyway, the quality of the movie was great, the sound was great and the actual movie was really good too. I give it a B+.
Oh yea, the drive-in is a double feature so you get 2 movies for the price of 1. If you've never been to a drive-in; you really should go. It's a fun experience.
There are still good people in the world. Yesterday, I had someone come out about my broken limb and he was really a great guy. He basically had us name our own price and then took lower than what I offered. If anyone needs tree service; let me know and I'll email you his information.
I'm so excited about getting my new roof. I'm getting the Architectural design type and for those who don't know what this is; they create a beautiful, multidimensional effect on your roof. Here's a sample roof to show you what I mean. It really is a beautiful roof. I'm getting it in black.

So, my tree has been cut; my roof will be installed and next is our vacation to Orlando!!!

When I bought this house; I knew the roof leaked, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Of the 3 years I've lived here, it has leaked twice. Well, it's that time to get a new roof. I should have a new roof by next weekend.
This morning, I got up, cleaned house and then took Diesel to be groomed. Went to a couple of yard sales and just enjoyed my day off looking forward to this long Memorial Day weekend.
When I got home; Shane had me go to the backyard and see if I noticed anything. This is what I finally saw.

Luckily, it missed my fence and more importantly, it missed my neighbors house. I just had a tree service, that will remain anonymous, come out and give me an estimate to just cut the branch off and haul it off. The estimate was a minimum of $250.
Another company is on their way and I'm hoping that he will be gentle with my pocketbook.
It's Graduation time again and I have two nieces that are graduating this year. It's funny because one is graduation pre-k and the other is graduating high school. Alexis is just starting her school life and Ami is finishing hers; well, she has college next.
Tonight is Ami's graduation from Howard High School and Alexis' graduation was this past week but they live out of town so I didn't go to hers. Here is a post-graduation picture of Alexis. That's her sister, Kaylea, in the background.
This afternoon, Mom and I decided to go down to the Chattanooga Market. The last time I was there they allowed pets; so I wanted to take Diesel with us.
As we were passing by, looking for a parking space, I saw a sign that said, "No Pets Allowed". I was disappointed. Diesel is a good dog and I knew he would behave. I then went over to the Walnut Street Bridge to walk him and there again, "No Pets Allowed". What is up with this town? It's a bridge that is in the open and no food around. I understand that some people wouldn't keep it clean after their pet; but do like New York and make people carry pooper scoopers if they plan on bringing their pets.
Again, I was disappointed so I ended up just walking him around on the sidewalks. I know Chattanooga has the dog park; but that's just like a back yard that my dog could just stay home and play around in.
Does anyone know if Coolidge Park is pet friendly?
I love taking pictures and I like pictures of the outside World the best. Flowers, animals, moon, etc. Last night I was outside and the moon was so pretty behind my mom's house; I just had to take a picture. I actually took 3 but this is the one I like the best.

The moon looked like a full moon but when I took the picture, it turned out like this....it was just hanging in the middle of some clouds.
