Truck 4 Sale

1989 Chevrolet S-10 lowered, navy blue, V-6 engine. Overall, the truck is decent for running around town and even to go back and forth to work. It has over 200,000 miles, but still runs. It needs minor work but as I said it does run.

We no longer need this truck, since we bought a new one.

We were asking $800 OBO; however, we are desperate to get rid of this and so the price was dropped to $600 OBO.

If you want to know more about the truck, post a comment and I'll give you Shane's cell number or let him answer you back.

Going once!!!!

New Truck

Shane's old truck was just not cutting the mustard any longer. It's still drivable and is a good truck for running around town; but he needed a newer truck. We found him a great deal on a 1995 Dodge Ram 1500. He's champagne color and very nice. Power everything and it even has a remote starter.

He loves it and it made him very happy to be the proud new owner; so I'm happy too.

I also got a new refrigerator that Shane and his dad are planning on hooking up tomorrow. It's stainless steel side-by-side with ice and water in the door. I'm excited about that.

Finally, Two more weeks and we are off for our family vacation to Orlando. We are all very excited about that and Shane and I are ecstatic about having a vacation.

Dale Jr to drive for Hendricks

This morning at 11:00 am, Dale Jr had a major announcement about the team he would drive for in 2008. Of all the teams that wanted Jr, he went with the one team I can't stand. Hendrick Motorsport is the owner of Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon. The two most hated drivers in Nascar.

I've been watching racing since I was about 19 years old and have always followed an Earnhardt. I started with Dale Sr and then once Jr went to Winston Cup; I've always been a fan.

My first thought this morning was that I was going to switch drivers. I just can't see myself rooting for a Hendrick driver. I still have 8 months to take it all in and I have a feeling there is a lot of #8 fans that are thinking the same thing I am.

Baby's momma drama

Without going into all the details about Shane and his ex-wife; something happened yesterday that just really hit me the wrong way.

We (Shane, Logan, Ashley and I) were eating lunch and I asked Logan if his mom had changed her new baby's name? (she had a baby and named him after her boyfriend and then found out the baby wasn't his). He said she kept his first and middle name but changed his last name to Barnes. Yes, Barnes is still her last name; but that is Shane's last name and should not be her baby with someone else.

I know the baby isn't Shane's but it still just really hurt and I know it's because we've been trying to have a baby and haven't been very successful and then she has one and gives it Shane's last name.

Does anyone know the laws on this? I tried to search online and have found different responses and I'm sure because the law is based on the State. Some say, they took it to court and the judge made her change the baby's name from her ex-husbands.

Just curious as to what the actual law is in Tennessee.

Jail time

Lately, you can't help put hear about Paris Hilton and her sentencing, jail time, house arrest, court date and then back to jail.

This is one of those areas that everyone has their own opinion about. Yes, she broke the law and yes, I feel celebrities get certain "special" treatment that gets them out of of trouble; but again, I don't think the time fit the crime.

She got 45 days in jail for violating her probation; yet Mary Winkler, the lady that killed her husband, may get out of jail after 60 days. How is that fair? Mary killed her husband point blank in their house with their 3 children at home; then fled the scene and took her kids out of state. 60 days!!!!

Where is the justice in that? I do agree sometimes celebrities need to learn their lesson; but I think the judge over Paris' case went a little far in teaching a lesson and then the judge in Mary Winkler's case didn't go far enough.

Can our justice system not be consistent and fair?

Mr. Brooks

Mr. Brooks is a suspense thriller about a "man of the year" who is a serial killer played by Kevin Costner. He is addicted to killing. He has an alter ego played by William Hurt. We get to see into the mind of a serial killer - why and how he does things.

There are four subplots.

1. and 2. Involves a cop played by Demi Moore and her divorce, and another involves an escaped convict she is trying to apprehend. She is also trying to figure out who the thumb print killer is.

3. Brooks' daughter, who is involved in a murder at her college - I won't go into any spoilers.

4. A young guy joins Brooks in a killing, just for the rush - why you will have to find out.

The movie is very devious, and there are some plot twists...but overall this is a very suspenseful, well acted, and entertaining film. They definitely left it open for a sequel. I have found that critics review really don't reflect the true movie and normally if they score a movie bad; it ends up being a great movie.

So with that said, I give this movie an A+. A really must see movie if you love thrillers.

New Roof

This is my new roof. You can click on the picture to make it bigger because it was really hard to get a close up of it since my house is pretty high. I think it would really look great if I had black shutters; so that is the next thing I'm going to get for the house.

My plans are next year, new shutters and new windows. That pretty much is all I need for my house to be complete. I'd love a pool and that is something I'm going to work for in the next 2 years.

The roofers did a great job installing the roof and the cleanup was amazing. It only took them 2 days to install. Great job, Home Depot!!!!
