FL (30) vs GA (42)

Shane and I went to the FL/GA game in Jacksonville this past weekend. Shane is a huge GATOR fan and I've been semi-converted. I said I would root for FL except when they play TN.

We got down to Jacksonville around 4:30 Friday afternoon and just rested and then went to the "Biggest Cocktail Party in the World" down at Jacksonville Landing. It was a huge party with FL and GA fans everywhere. We had a lot of fun and was really excited about the game Saturday.

Saturday we got up, ate Breakfast and went to the Convention Center to catch the shuttle for the game. We got to Alltel Stadium around 12:30 and walked around to the various booths until the gates opened at 1:30. We found our seats, which ended up right in the middle of the Georgia Student Section. I had told Shane beforehand that we would not be getting into any fights and we were there to have a good time and enjoy watching the Gators play.

Well, first thing this row of GA students started coming in and they immediately say us and started the trash talk. Now, I don't mind trash talking when it's all in fun; but they took it way too far. Saying how we were trailer trash and just being punk a** little kids.

This one kid kept shoving his pom-pom in my face and then the girl behind us kept putting her hand in our souvenir bag like she was trying to steal my FL sign I had made. I was really mad about how they were acting.

Then to top it all off; one guy in front of us, pumped his fist up in my face and I thought Shane was going to toss him from the stands. We had fun being able to be there and support the Gators; however, the Georgia students really made parts of it bad for us.

Even though FL lost, after the game, the GA fans were shaking our hands saying, "Good Game".

For free tickets; we had a BLAST....but next year, I think we'll try to get tickets in our own team's seats!!!

"Home"work

I haven't been blogging lately because for the past 3 weekends; I've been out of town. I'm home now and wanted to get in a couple of entries before I begin work.

I'm still working from home and it seems like it is going to be a permanent thing until they want me to come back in the office. I absolutely love working from home!!!!

I'm a workaholic anyway and I enjoy working so working from home is really not that much of a change for me. (except I don't have to get dressed until I'm ready to). Even when I went into the office, I still worked from home at night because I enjoy it.

I usually end up working my 8 hrs during the day and then maybe an hour or two at night if needed. So far my work days have been starting at around 5:45 and ending around 2:15; which is so great!!!!

This week though, I haven't been starting until 8; so I'm a minute late...hehehe

Well, better tell you about the FL-GA game and get to work.

A Great Benefit

My company allows certain positions to work from home. I think this is a great benefit to any company and their employees.

I've been in my position for going on 3 weeks and starting this morning; I begin to work from home. It's not a permanent thing (yet); but I definitely will enjoy the three or four weeks that I get to work from home.

I have my new laptop and all my supplies that I need to work from home. I have to go get my printer sometime today; however, I'm all set to begin working. When going to work, I was trying to work 6-2:30 and most of the time I did. Now that I'm working from home, I know I can stick to that schedule.

Well, I better go, 3 minutes until work starts. Have a great day!!

Devil Diesel

Diesel likes wearing clothes...if I say, "Diesel, want momma to put on your shirt?", he'll come right to me and sit like he is saying, "Yes". Last year, I just bought him a Halloween shirt, but this year, I got him a devil costume. He is the most precious thing I've ever seen; but I'll let you decide for yourself.

Sad News

Four years ago yesterday, we had my father's funeral/memorial service. My niece, Amanda, was 4 months pregnant and yesterday, she lost the baby. It was a little boy.

The baby will be cremated and Amanda had to name him. She named him David after my father.

So, this week will forever be a memory to the Davids that once touched our lives.

Six Flags

I haven't been to Six Flags since I was a teenager and unafraid of amusement rides; however, I've been saving Coke lids to get enough points for us to go. Us meaning Shane, Me, Ashley and Logan.

I saved enough points, 1350 to be exact, and we have tickets in hand and are going to Six Flags on Saturday.

Now that I'm older; I'm more afraid to ride the thrill seeking rides that I used to love. I'm sure Ashley and I will go on our own and ride the smaller rides that I won't have to fear for our lives about...haha

I used to love this ride that you were in a space shuttle(i think) and it went back and forth and eventually it turned you completely upside down. Now, I would ride that if they still have it.

Isn't it funny with age, your sense of fear goes up??

A Different Pachebel

My friend, Alli, is such a great writer and I love reading her blog on a daily basis. She comes up with things that people enjoy.

For example, Pachebel at Bedtime. Pachebel in Cannon D is a famous wedding song that happens to be the one I'll be walking down the aisle too; however, in this video a father sings lyrics to Pachebel as a bedtime song.

It's very cute, check it out. Made my day start off right....I laughed out loud.

My Daddy

Today was the four year anniversary of my dad's death. Even though it's only been four years; I sometimes forget the date until someone reminds me. It's not that I don't think of my dad every day; it's just I don't think of the actual date he died.

I remember the day as if it was yesterday and the shock of hearing that my dad had passed away in the hospital; it was so unexpected.

An old friend of mine had this pencil drawing done of my dad after he passed away and it hangs in my living room. I look at him every day and just think about him. I have really been thinking a lot about him lately since planning my wedding.

I know my dad is also with me; I just with he was able to walk me down the aisle.

In loving memory of David Henley, my daddy.

My Crown

Along with my wedding dress; I'll be wearing a tiara. David's has a beautiful line of tiaras that come with a not so beautiful price tag. Since I'm a huge ebay shopper; I turned online to find my tiara.

My mom bought my wedding dress; so I don't feel like she should have to buy my accessories also. I found my shoes on ebay at a GREAT price and just this week, I found my tiara....only thing left as far as accessories is my veil. Below is the pics of my tiara and my shoes I found.
