Hospital Again

Diesel is at the ER again. Yesterday afternoon, he had 3 seizures, one of them on the way to the ER. I will be able to get him after noon today. He was doing so well on just 1 pill a day; however, I feel like he now will have to stay on 4 pills a day. They said there is another medicine, Potassium Bromide, that he can take with his phenobarbital that will help with the seizures and eventually reduce the phenobarbital that he has to take.

Please pray for him and hopefully things will get better.

I am sorry to hear that. It is a good idea to try the potassium bromide. I know lots of dogs that are on it and do well. It is light sensitive so keep in a cabinet, and it is liquid. Keep us informed and good luck with the poor baby! Posted by: Kimmie at June 16, 2008 6:18 PM
His is in a pill form and his pills are kept away from light; but thanks for the info. He has been in the house most of the day today just resting. I'm going to try to keep him in the house during the summer months. Posted by: Sabrina at June 16, 2008 8:40 PM
