Diesel came home yesterday morning and is totally fine. No pain pills, no crying, just his normal self. His phenobarbital did have to be increased per his vet; but only for 2 weeks and then back to normal.
He will have his stitches taken out next Saturday, the 7th and hopefully, nothing else will he have to endure.
Thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers.
For over a month now, Diesel has had a bump on his upper lip. I've watched it to make sure it doesn't get bigger and it hasn't but it hasn't gone away either. I took him to the vet and they suggested we do surgery to have it removed. They think it's a benign tumor, but better safe than sorry.
Yesterday, Diesel had surgery. I was really scared that his lip would look deformed because they had to cut out the tumor and then stitch his lip back together. When we picked him up, his lip looked great!! You couldn't even tell where it had been stitched up.
Once we got home, I watched him and it wasn't a happy time for all. He was in pain and started crying (howling) and he has never done that before. Then I couldn't calm him down enough that he started having seizures. I know he was having the seizures because he was scared. Every time his lip would hurt, he would start backing up (backing away from the pain) and then within minutes he would have a seizure. He ended up having 5 seizures within an hour.
We ended up taking him to the ER Vet and they kept him over night for observation. (they actually called while I was typing this). She said he is doing good and seems to be back to normal. The only thing is this morning once they took his catheter out, he wouldn't stop bleeding; however, he is fine now and I can come pick him up.
So, I'm off to get ready to go get my baby dog.
Saturday, I went to pick out which tuxes and then the guys were fitted for them. I was a bit disappointed because they didn't have the same shade of pink that matches my bridemaid's dresses, but we got it figured out and I can't wait.
Just about 90 more days until the Wedding. Everything is done and now it's just time to begin having some showers!!!!
Let the fun begin!!!
In the hotel lobby; there is a Macaw named Raleigh. She is a beautiful bird and can speak. I've only heard her say Hello, but she is fun to watch and talk to.

I'm in Raleigh, NC on a business trip and I brought my mom with me. Well, someone in my class suggested we go to Angus Barn. He said it was "pricey" but very good. We decided to give it a try...... You can check out the menu to see the definition of pricey.
The food was very very good and probably worth the money; we split a steak dinner and it was plenty for the two of us.
After dinner, I went into the Ladies Room and when I opened the stall door, I saw the below sign.
WATER SAVING DUAL FUNCTION HANDLE

Even the green handle helps to fight germs....
I've noticed several environmentally friendly things here in Raleigh in my 2 days that I've been here. Their bottled water of choice is Deer Park and it's design is Eco Friendly. The design is supposed to have 30% less plastic.
The Hotel even have signs stating, "To save water and energy, if you want to reuse your towel, hang it on the rack; if not, leave it on the floor". I don't reuse towels so I can't help them save water and energy on that note. They also try to save on laundry by not changing your sheets but every 3 days, unless you request it changed every day. I can help them with that, that's fine with me. I think I can handle the same bed sheet for 3 nights.
Anyway, I wanted to share the bathroom stall sign as I thought it was funny.
Last night, Shane and I watched Cloverfield. I really didn't care anything about seeing it for various reasons.
1. I heard it wasn't all that great
2. I heard/read it was a lot like The Blair Witch Project
The 2nd reason was enough for me...I can't stand that moving around constantly that you get from the person in the movie video taping what's going on. When I saw Blair Witch Project, I was dizzy by the time I left the movie.
Well, thanks to Coke Rewards, we always get a free movie at Blockbusters.
Anyway, the movie is about these 5 friends that threw another friend a Going Way Party and some alien, monster, etc. takes over New York City and they are trying to escape.
DO NOT pay money to rent this movie; it isn't good and my review of it gets a D. Not interesting at all, very lame to me.
Today, we are going to see Iron Man and I have a feeling I'm going to like it a lot better than Cloverfield. I'll let you know, there is supposed to be a spoiler in the credits.
Yes, I'm talking about actual crutches and not the kind of crutches in your life. Last night around 7:00 pm, I decided to lay down for just an hour. I was in the middle of washing Shane's work clothes and knew they would be finished by then. I woke up around 9:00 pm and my ankle hurt; so when I went to get up, I could barely walk on it. I didn't do anything to hurt it, so i thought maybe I just slept wrong and it would be better this morning.
I was wrong!! I woke up this morning and my ankle was killing me, I mean that excruciating pain that you just can't stand. I made a 1:30 pm doctor appointment but just couldn't stand to wait. At 9:00 am, I got ready and decided to go to the Walk-in Clinic. They took xrays and nothing, no reason to explain what happened to my ankle. I did get a pain shot, ankle wrapped and on crutches for 4-5 days.
I leave for a business trip on Tuesday; so I'm hoping my ankle will be better by then. It is feeling a little better already though.
Being the crafty person that I am, I was going to hand make my Wedding Invitations. I bought all the supplies and had my plan all drawn up and then decided I really didn't want to put that much time in making invitations when I have so much other stuff to do; so I went with Do-it-yourself(DIY) Invitations. It also helped with our AC Moore store went out of business and had them on sale($3.50/box).
This morning, I got up when Shane went to work and got ready and went to the 7:30 Mass with my mom. After Mass, we went to breakfast and then came home. I decided that now was a good time to start/finish my invitations.
They were easy to print; however, putting them together is another story. I think I have a total of 7 completed. I do have the reply cards and envelopes together and in the main envelope and I put address labels on the reply envelopes to make things a little easy on my guests.
I have another 2 months before I mail the invites so I know I'll be finished in plenty of time.
Caterer is finished and thing only thing left to purchase are favors and pew bows.
There are only 120 days left until our Wedding, exactly 4 months from yesterday. I never thought it would get here....I know 4 months is still a while, but it is going by rather quickly.
Friday, Shane and I meet with the Caterer at Panera Bread. I can't wait...oh, that reminds me I need to print a picture of the groom's cake we want. I mean, Shane wants.
Anyway, I'm really starting to get excited about this...I finally bought my garter belt this past weekend in Kentucky. It matches my dress to a T. Only thing left for us to buy is favors and corsages/boutineres. (not sure of the spelling but spellcheck didn't catch it-so I'm good)
Well, I will definitely keep you updated on the Wedding and what's going on.
Next, BRIDAL SHOWERS!!!!
